Do you have dessert every night? My husband and I have tried using self control in this area but to no avail. So we attempt to make healthy desserts to satisfy our sweet tooth. Ahhh…this dessert is perfection! There is nothing better than fresh whipped cream and when you add maple syrup it becomes AMAZING.
2 sliced bananas
1/2 c crushed graham crackers
1 pint whipping cream
1/4 c maple syrup (use the real stuff…it’s worth it and add more if you like yours super sweet!)
1tsp vanilla extract
1Tbs ground cinnamon
My mom taught me the secret to the perfect whipping cream is placing your mixer bowl and whisk attachment in the freezer for 10 minutes prior to whipping. Do that first. Slice one banana in each of your bowls. Once your mixing bowl and whisk attachment have been freezing for 10 minutes, remove them. Attach the bowl and your whisk attachment to your electric mixer. Pour the whipping cream, maple syrup, vanilla and cinnamon in the mixer bowl. Turn the Mixer on its highest setting and let the whipping cream whip for about 4-5 minutes until you see stiff peaks form. Pour a heaping scoop of whipped cream on top of the sliced bananas and top with crushed graham crackers. You will have quite a bit of whipping cream leftover so save it for use later!
